MAKE THEM SHINE!

Sunglasses Accessories, Sunglasses Eyewear Maintenance

Have you ever stopped to take a real good look at your sunglasses? If you have, you will see alot of dirt and debris builds up on them when you are out riding your mountain bike, kayaking, driving, skiing, snowboarding etc.. Not to mention fingerprints, salt, and oils make your sunglasses look unsightly and the salt can corrode and peel coatings on the lens and frame.   Properly cleaning and maintaining your favorite sunglasses is key to the life of them.

1. When cleaning your sunglasses make sure to use mild warm soapy water or an approved cleaning spray or solution.

2. Use your Thumb and Index finger to gently clean thoroughly the frame and lens.

(Remember cleaning your sunglasses with a mild soap will get dirt, oils and salt off while preventing corrosion on metal frames and peeling of manufacture coatings on frames and lens. Do Not rub too hard on the lenses while cleaning to prevent scratching.)

3. Rinse thoroughly under warm tap water.

4. Use a very soft cloth to dry and buff your sunglasses.

If you do not have a proper cleaning cloth make sure to use a soft cloth and never use abrasive items such as some t-shirts , sweaters, shop towels etc.. By this point you my have spent alot of money and if you are not careful you may void a Warranty!)

Getting a hard carrying case to store your eyewear in is another way to protect them from harsh light rays, dropping or banging them around, heat and humidity. Also make the small investment in a tool set to repair and make adjustments. Cleaning and maintaining your sunglasses will relieve stress on your eyes and help to lesson eye fatigue. Clean lenses will help your vision over all and you'll look great sporting your favorite shades.
